Delete Your Account
Step 1
Log in to your PayPal account.
Step 2
Click the "Profile" link and click "My Settings" from the menu in the left column.

Click "Close Account" in the Account Type section. Click the "Continue" button to verify your decision.
Step 4
Select a reason that you want to close the account from the list provided. Possible reasons include, "Credit Card Verification" and "Verification of Bank Account." Click "Continue" to proceed.

Click the "Close Your Account" button. PayPal will log you out of your account and immediately cancel your account. Your browser will return to the PayPal homepage.
Remove the PayPal Limit
Step 1
Log in to your PayPal account and click the "My Account" tab.

Click "Resolution Center" from the link at the top of the page.
Step 3
Review the list of documents PayPal requires of you. Sometimes, PayPal will limit your account because of an unverified bank account or postal address.
Step 4
Mail or fax a copy of your documents to the number or address provided in the Resolution Center. Once PayPal receives and processes the required information, you will regain full account privileges, allowing you to continue sending and receiving money. Depending on the method you used to send the documents, this process can take up to a week.
Tips
- PayPal will not allow you to close your account if you have any pending transactions.
- You will receive a notification email from PayPal to alert you that your PayPal account has been closed.
Warning
- After deleting your account, all of your information is lost and you can't reopen the account.
